Purifier guide
Which Water Purifier Is Right for You?
The right purification system depends on factors such as water source, TDS, contaminants, usage and the specific purifier requirements.
Not every home needs the same purifier. A purifier that is more than your water needs can mean extra maintenance, while one that does too little may not address your water quality. If you are unsure, FILTARO can talk it through with you before you buy.
Tip: if you know your water’s TDS reading, mention it when you contact us.
Water source
Municipal supply, borewell, tanker or a mix — each can call for a different approach.
Water quality
TDS and other contaminants help decide whether RO is needed, or whether UV / UF may be enough.
Household / business usage
How many people, daily consumption and where the purifier will be installed.
Purification requirement
Which stages make sense for your water, and the maintenance each will need.

FAQ
Buying a Purifier — Questions
Do I need an RO purifier?
Not always. It depends on your water source, TDS and contaminants. Where dissolved solids are low, other technologies may be suitable. FILTARO can help you decide based on your water.
What is the difference between RO, UV and UF?
In simple terms: RO (reverse osmosis) reduces dissolved solids; UV uses ultraviolet light as a disinfection stage; UF (ultrafiltration) is a membrane that filters fine particles. Many purifiers combine stages.
How much maintenance does a purifier need?
It depends on the purifier type, your water quality and usage. FILTARO can explain the expected maintenance for any option before you buy.
Do you install the purifier too?
Yes — FILTARO provides installation and can also set up an AMC if you’d like scheduled maintenance.
